fe course has given me an opportunity to weave impactful coaching methodol
ogies into my daily work. The practice of asking powerful questions helps
me become a better listener\, encourage effective problem solving\, and ho
nor the agency of the stakeholders with whom I work. I have seen a differe
nce in the effectiveness of my daily conversations since taking the course
. You don’t have to be a certified coach to start utilizing these useful
techniques and mindsets!" -- Kaleb Sutherland\n"Coaching for Everyday Lif
e lifted up many of the key elements that are vital in a coaching conversa
tion: Establishing the agreement\, listening actively\, utilizing powerful
questioning\, evoking awareness\, and facilitating discovery. It encourag
ed me to continue having the coaching posture as my 'default setting' as I
engage people in conversation throughout the day. This means being curiou
s about the person and the situations in which they find themselves. The s
eminar reminded me how helpful a brief 10-15 minute conversation can be in
helping a person find their way forward\, especially if they’re open to
being coached. The key for me is asking the other person if they're open
to being coached on a topic they're struggling with. Short of that\, activ
ely listening and powerful questioning can still be of great benefit. Your
challenge to look for daily opportunities to coach others reminds me to b
e more aware of the conversations I engage in." -- Charlie Zimmerman\, PCC
