ching for Everyday Life course has given me an opportunity to weave impact
ful coaching methodologies into my daily work. The practice of asking powe
rful questions helps me become a better listener\, encourage effective pro
blem solving\, and honor the agency of the stakeholders with whom I work.
I have seen a difference in the effectiveness of my daily conversations si
nce taking the course. You don’t have to be a certified coach to start u
tilizing these useful techniques and mindsets!" -- Kaleb Sutherland\n"Coac
hing for Everyday Life lifted up many of the key elements that are vital i
n a coaching conversation: Establishing the agreement\, listening actively
 \, utilizing powerful questioning\, evoking awareness\, and facilitating d
iscovery. It encouraged me to continue having the coaching posture as my '
default setting' as I engage people in conversation throughout the day. Th
is means being curious about the person and the situations in which they f
ind themselves. The seminar reminded me how helpful a brief 10-15 minute c
onversation can be in helping a person find their way forward\, especially
if they’re open to being coached. The key for me is asking the other pe
rson if they're open to being coached on a topic they're struggling with.
Short of that\, actively listening and powerful questioning can still be o
f great benefit. Your challenge to look for daily opportunities to coach o
thers reminds me to be more aware of the conversations I engage in." -- Ch
 arlie Zimmerman\, PCC
