for Everyday Life course has given me an opportunity to weave impactful c
oaching methodologies into my daily work. The practice of asking powerful
questions helps me become a better listener\, encourage effective problem
solving\, and honor the agency of the stakeholders with whom I work. I hav
e seen a difference in the effectiveness of my daily conversations since t
aking the course. You don’t have to be a certified coach to start utiliz
ing these useful techniques and mindsets!" -- Kaleb Sutherland\n"Coaching
for Everyday Life lifted up many of the key elements that are vital in a c
oaching conversation: Establishing the agreement\, listening actively\, ut
ilizing powerful questioning\, evoking awareness\, and facilitating discov
ery. It encouraged me to continue having the coaching posture as my 'defau
lt setting' as I engage people in conversation throughout the day. This me
ans being curious about the person and the situations in which they find t
hemselves. The seminar reminded me how helpful a brief 10-15 minute conver
sation can be in helping a person find their way forward\, especially if t
hey’re open to being coached. The key for me is asking the other person
if they're open to being coached on a topic they're struggling with. Short
of that\, actively listening and powerful questioning can still be of gre
at benefit. Your challenge to look for daily opportunities to coach others
reminds me to be more aware of the conversations I engage in." -- Charlie
