eryday Life course has given me an opportunity to weave impactful coaching
methodologies into my daily work. The practice of asking powerful questio
ns helps me become a better listener\, encourage effective problem solving
\, and honor the agency of the stakeholders with whom I work. I have seen
a difference in the effectiveness of my daily conversations since taking t
he course. You don’t have to be a certified coach to start utilizing the
se useful techniques and mindsets!" -- Kaleb Sutherland\n"Coaching for Eve
ryday Life lifted up many of the key elements that are vital in a coaching
conversation: Establishing the agreement\, listening actively\, utilizing
powerful questioning\, evoking awareness\, and facilitating discovery. It
encouraged me to continue having the coaching posture as my 'default sett
ing' as I engage people in conversation throughout the day. This means bei
ng curious about the person and the situations in which they find themselv
es. The seminar reminded me how helpful a brief 10-15 minute conversation
can be in helping a person find their way forward\, especially if they’r
e open to being coached. The key for me is asking the other person if they
're open to being coached on a topic they're struggling with. Short of tha
t\, actively listening and powerful questioning can still be of great bene
fit. Your challenge to look for daily opportunities to coach others remind
s me to be more aware of the conversations I engage in." -- Charlie Zimmer
