John is an ordained ELCA pastor with experience in urban, rural, multicultural and campus ministries, hospital chaplaincy and community development. With a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Congregational Mission and Leadership from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN, he is trained in mission development and vitality coaching for individuals and groups. John’s gifts of careful listening and compassionate curiosity help clients discern and implement effective ministry objectives. John is pastor of Augustana Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD, where he lives with his wife Holly.
