Jon’s philosophy of coaching is to empower people to achieve their goals and dreams more quickly with the partnership of a coach then they could on their own. He has walked alongside individuals, couples, families, and teams for 15 years as an ELCA pastor in two different congregations, one as a solo pastor of a congregation worshiping 100 weekly and one as an Associate Pastor for a multi pastor staff in a downtown urban environment, with membership roles in the thousands, in two very different states. Though he’s coached all kinds of people, he has a heart and experience personally with the particularities of raising a family of two kids while working in ministry. He specializes in enabling others to practice and implement healthy boundaries. Currently going through his own transition from being a congregational pastor to becoming a chaplain, Jon also has a heart for those new to ministry or those going through their own career or a vocational transition. He is currently a level two coach on his way to being certified and is trained in individual and team/group coaching. He is a trained ICF coach working towards his first credential with 50+ hours of ICF certified training. Mission: Cultivating Your Calling
Vision: Nobody Journeys Alone
Coaches connect dreams to concrete actions that create change for individuals and congregations.
The ELCA's offices are located on the ancestral homelands of the Peoria, Bodwéwadmi (Potawatomi), Myaamia (Miami), Očhéthi Šakówiŋ (Sioux), Hoocąk (Ho-Chunk), and Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo) tribal nations. We give thanks for their presence here since time immemorial.
