Wellness for Good: A four-session Zoom cohort focused on wellness for church leaders.

So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; look, new things have come into being! -- 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NRSVUE)

Cohort One: Wednesdays, January 14 - February 4

9-10am Hawaii | 10-11am Alaska | 11am-12noon Pacific | 12noon-1pm Mountain | 1-2pm Central | 2-3pm Eastern | 3-4pm Atlantic

(Time zones may vary with Daylight Saving Time. We do our best to include other time zones as we understand them to be. Please double-check your time zone against the Central time noted. Times noted at the top of this page are in Central time.)

Quitter’s Day is only the beginning. The 2nd Friday in January is often called Quitter’s Day because by that time, many of us have abandoned our New Year’s Resolutions. One reason may be that, to make lasting change, people need intrinsic motivation connected to their values. These cohorts will focus on that “pre-work”.

This cohort is not:

  • A place to receive advice and/or plans that have worked for others.
  • A time to set “New Year’s Resolutions” type goals.
  • Yet one more experience of not accomplishing what others tell you to do.

This cohort does provide:

  • A chance to reflect on how our own definition of wellness might connect to the work we are called to do and the people we want to be in the world.
  • Time to list what is of foremost importance in our lives and wonder how our own definition of wellness might connect to these values.
  • Guided creation of a wellness vision: a compelling statement that describes you as your best self. This vision is a description of who God has already created you to be. Our work is to explore how to more fully live into that creation.

In these four sessions facilitated by a certified wellness coach, we will think through shifts in perspective to help you grow in strength and energy to do the work you feel called to do. “Wellness for Good” is designed to provide encouragement toward stewarding the gifts of body and soul.

Your financial investment is only $25 total for all four sessions of this pilot project.

Facilitator: Jen Kunka is a Mayo Clinic Certified Wellness Coach and an ELCA Coach who is also credentialed with the International Coaching Federation.

Because these cohorts are designed to be confidential, they will be capped at 6 people, and efforts will be made to not place people from the same synod in a cohort.
