Channeling the Energy of the Crowd: Explorations in Team and Group Coaching

On Wednesday, July 27, we welcomed back Nathan Swenson-Reinhold, who facilitated conversation around harnessing the energy of groups to do the work of the Kingdom. Whether you are a coach or a leader in your community, you often find yourself challenged to bring disparate and divided rooms into social coherence. Come explore models of thought and practice that help make this daunting task possible.

Nathan is driven by a ravenous curiosity about people with a passion to help them midwife their dreams in their lives and work. He has led from the lead seat in three congregations over 17 years and knows what it means to shoulder the weight of organizational change, transformation, and mission. He has excelled in the areas of congregational culture change, leadership development, and organizational impact. With a doctorate in leadership and cultural architecture from Portland Seminary of George Fox University, he is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and is a certified DISC behavioral consultant. He is also a coach trainer and coach training content designer for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and for Faith + Lead. His ministry is now being channeled full-time through Summit Coaching and Behavioral Consulting where he does facilitation, training, and coaching, and through GSB Fundraising where he works with organizations and faith communities on strategic planning, non-profit stewardship processes, annual appeals, and capital campaigns. Both allow for full expression of Nathan's passion for the development and empowerment of human beings and communities. Most importantly, he is a husband to Erin, and father to Sam, Ephraim, and Emma. In his downtime he enjoys yard work and gardening, detailing the family cars, weightlifting, reading Sci-Fi novels, photography, turning pens, fly-fishing, and long conversations on back porches over good red wine or bourbon!

We are inviting you to bring a spirit of curiosity to these gatherings and to all aspects of your life. What are you noticing? Where is Spirit moving? How are you being invited to participate?

Join us WEEKLY on Wednesdays at 1pm Central to hear from a variety of leaders. We will continue with our theme of COURAGEOUS LEADERSHIP through July. We have invited various ministries to host these gatherings, so it will be different each week. There will usually be time for small groups in breakout rooms so that leaders across the church can learn from each other and leave each gathering with at least one action step.

Based on continuing feedback, we will continue innovating, lean even more into coaching, and begin something different starting in August. Stay tuned for those details. Same day of the week (Wednesdays), same time (1-2pm Central), same login link, updated framing and formatting.
